Dr. Nichita Gavrilescu has a passion for providing excellent care with kindness and is interested in developing long term relationships with GPs and patients in the area. Nichita welcomes referrals for all aspects of nephrology including hypertension, chronic kidney disease, dialysis and kidney transplantation.

Dr. Gavrilescu graduated from Monash University with Honours in 2015 and completed specialist fellowship training in nephrology at Northern Hospital, Austin Hospital and Alfred Hospital.

He holds a public position with the Northern Hospital renal unit. He also holds a public position with the Alfred Hospital renal unit and consults patients in the Glomerulonephritis clinic and Transplant clinic. 

Nichita has a passion for the education of medical students and junior doctors, having previously co-ordinated the Royal Australian College of Physicians Fellowship examination as the senior medical registrar at Northern health in 2020.

When not working he enjoys road cycling, learning python and spending time with his family. Nichita is fluent in Romanian.
